Peeple
Founder, CEO
Chris Chuter was born in the Pacific Northwest, spent his early childhood in New England, and finally settled in Texas. After graduating with a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, he went to work for a NASA contractor and moonlighted as a computer graphics programmer in Houston’s oil & gas industry. This industry was his first foray into the world of entrepreneurs, and after a startup he worked at was acquired, he was hooked. He went on to found companies in the soul-crushing game industry, but has since left for the more fulfilling world of hardware. Now he is a co-founder and CEO of the Building 10 Technology, Inc.
Building 10 is developing Peeple: the elegant, compact, and easy-to-use caller ID for your front door. Peeple is a smart camera that attaches to existing peepholes and easily connects to home Wi-Fi to identify, inform, screen, and alert people to any outside presence. Say goodbye to the days of worrying about what time the kids got home, if the package arrived, or if there’s a potential intruder at the rental property. When the house is empty, Peeple is home.
