New PR

Media Relations or Medium? Snapchat or Speaking Engagements? There are countless ways for brands to have their stories told, maybe even too many. Not all PR programs are created equal and not all budgets are unlimited, so how can smart companies make smart decisions on when to spend and when to save on PR efforts? INK’s brainstorm will be a discussion on “New PR” and our approach to creating impactful, imaginative, and integrated programs that make sense. We’ll have our leadership team lead a discussion of how we differentiate our brand of PR with integrated programs, as well as INK experts to host a Q&A on digital content and social media.

Creative Director, INK Public Relations
Originally from Minnesota, home of Paul Bunyan, 10,000+ lakes and the “other” state fair, I studied design at the University of Kansas (go Jayhawks) and minored in Art History. Recently drawn south by the smell of tacos and adventure, I am now an associate creative director here at INK. | | I gained agency experience in Chicago, working in design, advertising and shopper activation and am excited to dive head first into the world... President, Co-Founder, INK Public Relations
I fell hard for high tech PR in 1998. This is surprising considering that first job was clipping and faxing newspaper articles to Compaq Computer executives at 7am each morning. Not very “high tech,” but I loved the fast-paced energy of the technology industry and camaraderie of the PR agency world. I was hooked. Subsequent positions at Golin/Harris International, working on Texas Instruments, and at Porter Novelli Austin, helping... Read More →

Content Strategist, INK Public Relations
Growing up, I had a clunky computer that no one wanted. It weighed a ton, documents were saved to floppy disks, and it hummed loudly at night. Despite its flaws—it allowed me to write stories that I desperately wanted to share. It took several years, countless laptops, and a gentle push from a professor at Texas State for me to realize that I could do the one thing I loved most for a living. I could write. | In college, I honed my craft and... Read More →

Vice President, Partner, INK Public Relations
Simply put, I rock the house at INK PR. I have been working for Starr and Kari since 2004 and, I am not gonna lie, having leaders that passionate brings out the best in me. I didn’t go to school for public relations (English Lit at UT – hook ‘em), but from my very first coverage search I pretty much knew this was going to be my jam. I cut my PR teeth on the Bluetooth SIG account – and with Bluetooth technology being my... Read More →
